Preparing a Roadmap for Your Family’s Peace of Mind

 
In this age of computers and the “cloud”, how do you keep track of your digital assets?
If you are like me, you might be quite sure your “cloud” is out there somewhere, but have no guarantee that you know what it is doing or where it is going at any one time. Much less, what might happen to all the things floating in this “cloud” once we become more focused on those ethereal clouds which support the Pearly Gates?         
 
How has estate planning evolved to address your electronic legacy? (I am not even sure I knew I had an electronic legacy.) These are just some of the reasons why it is important to take these issues into account when planning for your family’s future. Bernard Kearse will be answering these questions and more at our Luncheon on July 20, 2017.

Bernard is an Estate Planning Attorney with over 25 years of legal experience.  He graduated from Wofford College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Kearse received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as an editor for the South Carolina Law Review.  He also received a Masters in Law in Estate Planning from the University of Miami. In 2006, Bernard was inducted as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and was honored as a Lifetime Fellow in 2016. This honor is reserved for the top 1% of attorneys in the United States.
 
So let’s explore this topic together as we take direction and guidance on how to navigate this mysterious and sometimes daunting highway in the “cloud”.

The Sawnee Association of the Arts was founded in 1974 and continues to serve the Forsyth County community as a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization. The SAA has something to offer everyone. With over 100 members working in a dozen or more media, including oil painting, pottery, wood, jewelry, fiber and textiles, acrylics, mixed media, photography, watercolor, pastels, charcoal and pencil drawing, you can find a kindred spirit.
We are pleased to welcome Scott Eckley and Mary Negron to join us in an informative discussion and visual presentation of the many interesting aspects that the Sawnee Association of the Arts has to offer our community.
