Interest Groups
Forsyth County Women's Club welcomes everyone interested in attending a luncheon and/or an Interest Group event as a Guest. However, in order to continue participation in our events, we invite you to join us as a member prior to your next luncheon and/or chosen group activity. Below is an overview of all our Interest Groups; detailed information for each group is updated monthly and available to paid members on our Newsletter page. Our Club year starts annually on June 1, and runs through May 31. JOIN HERE

Birthday Babes

Birthday Babes meets quarterly in March, June, September, and December. We gather on the first Wednesday of those 4 months at 11:30 AM at Tam's Tupelo. We celebrate FCWC member birthdays with FREE birthday cake and a surprise gift. If you miss your birthday month, you can join us for the following quarterly celebration! RSVP to zinacohen@bellsouth.net.
Bon Appétit
Bon Appétit meets quarterly on a Friday, which varies depending on the venue. They visit tearooms and quaint places all around the Atlanta area, and at least one special cooking class at Whole Foods. Some of the events are hands-on cooking experiences. Costs to attend a Bon Appetit event vary depending on the venue.
Bookies Book Club
Bookies meet the 2nd Monday of the month at 1:00 PM at the Towne Club Windermere, 3950 Towne Club Drive, in Cumming. Members make book recommendations, vote annually on the list of reads for the coming year, and take turns leading discussions.
Bowling
Teams meet Monday mornings at 9:45 AM, August thru April, at Stars and Strikes in Cumming. League details are available by contacting ForsythCountywomensclub@gmail.com .
Bunco
Players meet the 4th Wednesday of the month at 10:30 AM in a member’s home. Bunco is a dice game – easy to play and lots of fun! Everyone is asked to bring $5.00 for the kitty, which provides prize money for the day. Refreshments are served by the hostess.
Canasta
The Canasta group meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at Reveille Cafe on Rt. 20 in Sugar Hill at 11 am. In between games, we order and eat lunch. Play ends by 2pm.
CSI - Community Service InvestiGators
This interest group is the service arm of FCWC. Members investigate the needs within our community and help meet those needs through volunteering, contributions, and fundraising. 100% of any funds raised go directly back into the community. The group also plans and provides donation opportunities for the FCWC membership at the Club's monthly luncheons. Meeting are usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10 AM. Creative Crafters
Crafters meet the 3rd Monday of the month at 1:00 PM to enjoy learning, sharing, or enhancing their skill at some type of handmade craft. They are always looking for something new and fun to try. Members take turns hosting.
Friday Night Chill
A great way to unwind at the end of a busy month! This gathering is held the 4th Friday of each month at 7:00 PM. Hostesses provide soft drinks, ice, coffee and paper goods. Guests bring substantial and table-ready appetizers or desserts. This is a BYO event. Singles and couples are welcome! By attending a Chill event a second time, members are agreeing to host an event in the next year.
Lunch Bunch
The group meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at different restaurants in and around the local area. It's a wonderful way to enjoy good food with fun and friendly company!
Lunch and a Movie
Lunch and a Movie is a great group for anyone who enjoys going to the movies. They meet before the movie for lunch. Movie and lunch location are chosen the week before each event and the date floats to accommodate current movie options.
Mah Jongg!
Mah Jongg meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Manchester Court Clubhouse, 3700 Warrington Drive. This ancient Chinese tile game follows the rules of the National Mah Jongg League and involves both luck and skill. Played in a casual environment.
Main Course
Meets the 2nd Saturday night of each month at 7:00 PM in a member’s home. Guests bring appetizers, side dishes and desserts to accompany the hostess’ main course. Nonalcoholic beverages are provided by the host, and participants may BYOB. A donation of $8.00 single/$10.00 couple is collected to help defray the hostesses’ additional expenses. This is a casual dinner group.
Men’s Night Out
This is a monthly event "just for the guys:" the husbands and significant others of our members. They meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month, usually for dinner, but sometimes they plan a lunch or other activity. Suggestions for new restaurants as well as "old standards" are welcome, and the location is emailed to all participating men a week prior. Contact information appears in the newsletter each month.
Mexican Train Dominoes Game
Mexican Train meets the 2nd Friday of the month, with play beginning at 10:30 am. The group meets in alternating member's homes. Mexican Train is a game played with dominoes. The object of the game is for a player to play all the tiles from his or her hand onto one or more chains, or trains, emanating from a central hub or "station". The game's popular name comes from a special optional train that belongs to all players. Beginners are welcome to join in!
Shanghai Card Game
Meets on the 1st Thursday of each month, at 10 AM at Reveille Cafe in Sugar Hill. Shanghai is a card game involving 6 rounds, with each round having different requirements using books and runs. Dimes are used to buy the extra cards needed to complete books and runs. $1 goes into the kitty to be dispersed to winners after play. This is a very interesting game using some strategy, and it is loved by many!
Solos
Our group is designed to gather our single members to develop lasting friendships, but all members are welcome. Activities vary each month.
Taste & Share
Taste and Share meets on the 4thThursday of the month for a potluck lunch at a member’s home. The hostess selects the theme for the lunch and each member brings a dish based on that theme. Recipes and leftovers are shared. It’s a great way to try out new recipes, taste others' choices, collect new recipes as well as socialize. By attending a Taste and Share event a second time, members are agreeing to host an event in the next 12 months.
