Friday Night Chill

A  great way to unwind at the end of a busy month! This gathering is held the 4th Friday of each month at 7:00 PM.   Hostesses provide soft drinks, ice, coffee and paper goods while guests bring table-ready appetizers or desserts & their favorite “potent potable” (optional). Singles & couples are always welcome.  Members who are planning on attending more than once are asked to take a turn hosting this event sometime during the year.  Singles, couples & guest are always welcome, the contribution is $2.50 a person.

Lunch Bunch

The group meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at different restaurants in and around the local area.  A wonderful way to enjoy good food with fun and friendly company.

Lunch and a Movie

Men’s Night Out

This is a monthly event "just for the guys".....husbands and significant others of our members.  They meet on the 3rd Thursday, usually for dinner, but sometimes we plan a lunch or other activity. Suggestions for new restaurants as well as "old standards" are welcome, and the location is emailed to all participating men a week prior. Contact information appears in the newsletter each month.

Mexican Train Dominoes Game

A new interest group, Mexican Train, will be starting on the second Friday of the month with play beginning at 10:30 am. Mexican Train is a game played with dominoes. The object of the game is for a player to play all the tiles from his or her hand onto one or more chains, or trains, emanating from a central hub or "station". The game's popular name comes from a special optional train that belongs to all players.

Off the Beaten Path

We all know how fun it is to find that special shop, cafe or even a walk in the woods that no one else has yet discovered. Off the Beaten Path is a way to share your special place with your FCWC friends.  Several times a year we explore hidden treasures that our members have found and want to let the rest of us in on!  Let us know if you have a treasure to share or join us in our next adventure!

See Georgia

Members visit interesting historical/cultural/educational sites in Atlanta and North Georgia, followed by lunch at an “iconic” restaurant or tearoom. Past outings include the Fox Theatre, the Georgia Governor’s Mansion, and Historic Roswell. This year See Georgia events will take place once a quarter as scheduled.

Shanghai is a card game involving 6 rounds with each round having different requirements using books and runs. Dimes are used to buy the extra cards needed to complete books and runs.  $1 goes into the kitty to be dispersed to Winners after play.  It is a very interesting game using some strategy and it is loved by many!

Solos

Our group is designed to gather together our single members to develop lasting friendships.  Weekend events are especially popular.  Dining out, theater, movies, museums, Saturday potlucks or game nights, and weekends away are some of the activities we enjoy.  Although our title indicates "solos," all members are invited.
